After meeting with you, our valued Holiday Hunter guests, at the designated departure points, we begin our Black Sea tour. Our first stop will be Sinop, a historic port city surrounded by seas on three sides, at Turkey’s northernmost point. We begin our Sinop tour with the historic Sinop Prison, which is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and is currently used as a museum. (Sinop Prison has been under renovation since January 15, 2021. If it has not yet opened on the date of the tour, it will only be photographed from the outside.) After the visit to Sinop Prison, we have our lunch, the famous Sinop manti, for lunch (Extra), and then we set off on a boat tour with our guests who wish to join. (Extra) After our boat trip, we head to Hamsilos Fjord, which offers one of the most captivating views of the Black Sea. A fjord is the name given to narrow sea inlets between steep cliffs and rocks formed by valleys created by glaciers and filled with seawater. After the photo break here, we say goodbye to Sinop and arrive in Samsun, located in the region where the Kızılırmak and Yeşilırmak rivers flow into the sea, where the foundations of the Republic were laid. The first stop of our Samsun tour will be the Atatürk Statue, which has become the symbol of Samsun. After seeing this monument, which was built by Austrian sculptor H. Kriphel in 1931, and taking souvenir photos, we visit the Bandırma Ferry, the ship that brought Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK and his 18 companions to Samsun on May 19, 1919, to start the War of Independence. After a short photo break, the place where Atatürk stepped ashore in Samsun on May 19, 1919 was filled in with rocks during the construction of Samsun Port. Today, it is 250 m inland, and we visit the First Step Monument. We conclude our Samsun tour and head to our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Dear guests; After the breakfast we will have at our hotel in the morning, we pass through the Nefise AKÇELİK tunnel (3820 m), one of the longest tunnels currently in use in our country, and with the information we will receive from our guide, we have free time in the cable car park where we can have the opportunity to go up by cable car to Boztepe, the symbol of Ordu city (extra). At Boztepe, we will feel Ordu and the entire Black Sea geography beneath our feet. After the pleasant time we spend, we leave Ordu and, by panoramic view from our vehicle, see Giresun Island, Giresun Castle built during the reign of the Pontus ruler Farnakes, and the Tomb of Topal Osman, the regiment guard of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal. After shopping for hazelnuts and hazelnut products, we pass through the districts of Vakfıkebir and Akçaabat and have our lunch. After our meal, we visit Atatürk Mansion, which was gifted to Atatürk by the people of Trabzon. Then, we visit Trabzon Hagia Sophia, which was built between 1238-65 during the period of the Komnenos Kingdom and its frescoes from the history of Christianity on the western façade. We then head to Sümela Monastery, located within the Maçka borders of our province of Trabzon. While touring Sümela Monastery, you will be fascinated once again after our guide’s explanations. (Restoration works are ongoing by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey; whether visits inside the monastery can be made will be determined by the conditions of the period.) After our visit to Sümela Monastery, we head to our hotel for dinner and accommodation

SÜRMENE – RIZE KNIFE - ÇEÇEVA TEA GARDENS – RIZE CLOTH - STORM VALLEY - ÇAMLIHEMŞİN – ZİLKALE and PALOVİT WATERFALL – RAFTING - AYDER

After the breakfast we will have at our hotel, we go to Sürmene and give free time so you can get to know the famous Sürmene knives and do some shopping. After free time, we leave Sürmene and head to Çayeli. In Çayeli, our first stop will be the Rize Cloth shop, where we will see the workshop where Rize cloths are made. The main feature of Rize cloth (Feretiko) is that it absorbs sweat from the body and keeps the body cool and dry. In Çayeli district, for our guests who wish, we board the minibuses waiting for us and carry out our Çeçeva Tea Gardens tour (Extra). In Çeçeva village, we see the endless Tea Gardens where many tea brands, TV series, films, and commercials were filmed, and we collect tea and take souvenir photos in the tea gardens. At the end of the time we will spend here, we leave and continue on our way, where we will also see Rize panoramically, in order to reach Storm Valley. After our lunch, guests who wish can join the alternative tours below.

1. Tour option: Zilkale, Çat Valley and Palovit Waterfall Tour (Extra): We start an amazing tour with the minibuses we will take from Çamlıhemşin. We enter Çat Valley, one of the important valleys that make up Storm Valley. First, passing through Ortan Village, we see Şenyuva Village, formerly known as Çinçiva, where the Sevdaluk series and many other productions were filmed. Here, among the Stone Bridges in the valley, of which there are dozens, we will take a photo break at one of the wide and long ones. Through the Fırtına Mansions, the oldest mansions in our country, located in this region, we head toward Zilkale rising in the wild nature of Çat Valley. You will be amazed by Zilkale’s appearance resembling an eagle’s nest. At Zilkale, located 750 m above sea level and 100 m above Çat Stream, during the time we spend there, you can capture the most beautiful photo shots of your life. After pleasant moments, we climb even higher and reach the magnificent Palovit Waterfall, famous for its stunning view and its coolness that turns summer into winter. After the pleasant moments we will experience, we return to Şenyuva Village and give you a tea break. After sipping your tea against the magnificent view, we get back on our minibuses and return to Çamlıhemşin.

2. Tour Option: Huser Plateau Sea of Clouds Tour (Extra) With the minibuses we will take from Çamlıhemşin, we start an amazing tour where we will have lots of fun and see plenty. Recently quite popular, Huser Plateau is located just above Ayder Plateau. From Huser Plateau, you can see the 3-4 most important plateaus of the Black Sea, such as the Kavrun Valley, from a bird’s-eye view. Depending on the weather on Huser Plateau, you may find yourself above the clouds and experience unique moments. After witnessing this unforgettable moment, we get back on our minibuses and return.

3. Tour option: Rafting on the Storm River (Extra) After expert instructors explain what you need to know, you will experience the excitement of rafting on a light course that lasts about 1.5 hours on the turbulent waters of the Storm River.

4. Tour option: The rising trend of the Black Sea, Zipline (Extra): On the Storm River, an rope activity can be done by crossing from one side of the Storm River to the other and back with steel ropes tied at a height of about 10 meters and a length of 350 meters.

For our guests who do not join the alternative tours, we give free time in Çamlıhemşin center. After the free time and alternative tour programs end, we head to Ayder Plateau, one of the most beautiful spots in the Kaçkar Mountains. In Ayder, we see Gelin Düveni Waterfall and other waterfalls. After the Galerdüzü and Kalegon visits, we take a pleasant walk during free time on the plateau and then head to our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

BATUM – GENIO ( APSAROS ) VILLAGE and CASTLE - ORTA MOSQUE – EUROPE SQUARE – GOLDEN POST MONUMENT – POSEIDON SQUARE - CHOROKH RIVER - ST. MARY CATHEDRAL – HOPA – BORÇKA KARAGÖL

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we set off towards Batum. After completing our entry procedures at the Sarp Border Gate, we cross into Georgia and first on our tour we see the Gonio (Apsaros Castle) (Panoramic), which dates back to the Roman period and was most recently used during the Ottoman period, and where the tomb of St. Mathias, one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus, is also located. As we continue towards Batum city center, we will see the Çoruh River, which rises from Bayburt and creates sharp lines all the way to the Batum borders, and the old Gonio Bridge over it. Afterwards, by going to the city center, we will see the Historic St. Mary Cathedral Church, the Historic Orta Mosque, the Theater Building, the Medea Statue, Batum Port, and the newly designed Europe Square. After strolling along Batum Boulevard, we will give time for shopping and free time. After free time, we will complete our exit procedures at the Sarp Border Gate and, after our lunch break in Hopa, we will board our bus and head towards Borçka. Upon our arrival in Borçka, our guests who wish may participate in the Karagöl excursion as an extra. (Karagöl Tour Extra) Guests who do not wish to participate may spend free time in Borçka. After the end of our excursions, we head to our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

NOTE: According to the agreement between Turkey and Georgia, Turkish citizens can enter Batum with a population ID card that includes a Turkish ID number. Entry is not possible with other identification cards (driver’s license, institutional ID cards, etc.). Guests under 18 who will not be traveling with their family (with both mother and father at the same time) are required to obtain a notarized CONSENT LETTER for entry into BATUM. A photo is mandatory on IDs, including for babies and children. IDs must not be torn or worn out. Georgian officials sometimes do not accept IDs older than 10 years.

ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM Mençuna Waterfall Tour (Extra): Guests who cannot or do not want to cross to Batum may, if they wish, join our extra Mençuna Waterfall tour (The minimum number of participants must be 10 people.). Our minibus, which we will board from Arhavi, will pass through the Çiftekemer Bridge and reach Küçükköy. In Küçükköy, we get off our minibuses, cross to the other side via the suspension bridge, and start a very pleasant walk. During our journey, which will take approximately 30 minutes, we will pass through trees resembling a Botanical Park. Along the same route, passing through tea gardens, we will reach Mençuna, whose meaning in Laz is “Inaccessible.” After this magnificent tour, we return to Arhavi and meet with our group and our bus.

After the breakfast we have at the hotel in the morning, we head to the Tea Factory, where we can taste the most delicious teas of the Black Sea region. After our visit to the tea factory, where we can see the stages tea goes through, we give you free time for shopping. Following the Solaklı Stream and Valley route along the Of - Çaykara - Taşkıran line, we reach Uzungöl, a dam lake formed when landslides blocked the valley. Here, our guests may have the opportunity to join the tours below. (Depending on the weather, 1 of the 2 tours may be possible as a group).

Lustra - Karaster Plateau Tour (Extra): We start this tour, where you can see Uzungöl from a bird’s-eye view, by taking minibuses from Uzungöl. After the photo break at Lustra Plateau, we board the minibuses again and reach Garester Plateau. After getting off our vehicles, we take a short walk to reach our break point; here, against a magnificent view, those who wish can pay for and have tea, ayran, or milk, and eat Trabzon’s famous rice pudding. After the break, we meet back at the minibuses and return to Uzungöl.

Haldizen Stream - Demirkapı Plateau Tour (Extra): Haldizen Stream is the reason for Uzungöl’s existence. In Demirkapı Plateau, one of the farthest mountain villages, we visit and see the warmth of the plateau houses beyond the clouds, away from the noise of the city, and we visit a very old plateau house. Those who wish can pay to drink tea brewed with plateau water and eat potatoes baked in a wood stove. After the visit, we meet back at the minibuses and return to Uzungöl.

After our enjoyable plateau tour, we leave Uzungöl and, after having the opportunity to see products prepared in the skillful hands of masters who make Trabzon Hasırı, Telkari and Kazaziye, which are an art form unique to Trabzon, we give you free time for shopping. After the free time, to take the wonderful flavors of the Black Sea region with you, we go to a store where we can shop for many varieties of real butter and cheese, all produced by local residents. After shopping, we complete the Black Sea Tour and begin our return journey to drop off you, our valued Tatil Avcısı guests, at the points where we picked you up.
