Day 1 | Istanbul – Ioannina

We depart in the evening, leaving at 21:00 from the Kadıköy marriage office, at 21:30 from Mecidiyeköy Square / in front of Bambi Cafe, at 22:00 from in front of İncirli Ömür Plaza, at 22:30 from in front of Beylikdüzü Marmara Park Mall, and at 22:59 from in front of Silivri Vega Mall. (You are required to be at the specified locations at least 15 minutes before the departure times.) After approximately 3 hours of travel, upon our arrival at the İpsala border gate, we complete customs and passport procedures and then cross into Greece, heading to Parga via Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç), Komotini (Gümülcine), Xanthi (İskeçe), and Kavala.

Day 2 | Ioannina – Parga

With the breaks we will take near Kavala and Thessaloniki, we travel along the Greek highway passing through dozens of tunnels and arrive in the morning at Ioannina’s historic lake district. We take a panoramic walking tour inside Ioannina Castle, located right next to the lake, see the Ali Pasha Mosque and the Castle Quarter made up of traditional Ottoman houses, and then move on to the modern Ioannina area. After free time here for rest and lunch, we depart for Parga. Upon arrival, we tour Parga on foot. We take a panoramic walk through Turkish Market Street, the Venetian Castle, and then through narrow streets among the traditional Parga houses and through the market, arriving at Parga Square. Afterwards, we check in to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Parga.

Day 3 | Parga – Corfu

After breakfast at our hotel, free time. Those who wish may join the optional Corfu Island Tour. (75.-€) On this tour, we take a ferry to Corfu Island, the pearl of the Ionian Sea. In this charming town, which features historic French and Venetian architecture, we see Saint Spyridon, the Patron Saint Churches, Theotaki Square, and the Venetian Castle located here. During the free time we will have in the city center, you can buy handmade souvenirs from select shops on the historic streets or spend pleasant time at the cafes in the famous Liston Square. Afterwards, we return to our hotel in Parga. Overnight at our hotel in Parga.

Day 4 | Parga – Preveza – Istanbul

After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Preveza. After a one-hour journey, upon our arrival in Preveza, located at the mouth of the Amvrakikos Gulf and the site of the Battle of Preveza, which took place in 1538 and ended with the victory of the Ottoman Empire, we enjoy the beautiful traditional buildings along the harbor and the old town, walking along the pedestrian street in this city blessed with rich history, ancient sites, and monuments, and taking in the island-like atmosphere. During the free time we will have here, we taste local delicacies in picturesque taverns or cafes lined along the narrow, cobblestoned backstreets. After free time to get to know the city and have lunch, we depart for Istanbul. With the breaks we will take near Thessaloniki and Kavala, we travel along the Greek highway through the dozens of tunnels on the way we came and reach the Greek border in the evening. Shopping opportunity at the Greek Freeshop during customs and passport procedures. After entering Turkey through the İpsala border gate, with approximately a 3-hour journey, arrival in Istanbul after midnight and the end of our tour. We hope to see you on our next tour…
