Day 1 | Istanbul – Thessaloniki

We depart at 22:00 from Kadıköy Marriage Office, at 22:30 from Mecidiyeköy Square/Bambi Cafe, at 23:00 from İncirli Ömür Plaza, at 23:30 from Beylikdüzü Marmara Park AVM, and at 23:59 from Silivri Vega AVM. (Please be at the mentioned locations at least 15 minutes before the departure times.) After approximately a 3-hour journey, we arrive at the İpsala border gate where we complete customs and passport procedures and then proceed to Greece, traveling through Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç), Komotini (Gümülcine), Xanthi (Iskeçe), and Kavala towards Thessaloniki.

Day 2 | Thessaloniki

Upon our arrival in Thessaloniki in the morning, we will begin our panoramic city tour, visiting the largest church in Greece, the Church of Aya Dimitros, and the house where the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was born and raised. We will also see the Church of Aya Sofia, the Ottoman Baths, the Ottoman Mosque, the Bedesten, the White Tower, the Rotunda, and the International Fair area. After a walk along the famous waterfront, known for its cafes and shops, we will have free time until 14:30. After check-in at our hotel, there will be more free time. Guests wishing to participate can join the shopping tour at Thessaloniki Mega Center & Jumbo Store, which will take place at 15:30 (20.€). Alternatively, guests can join the Panoramic Night Tour of Thessaloniki at 20:00 to see the sights from the day under evening lights and experience the vibrant nightlife in the center of Thessaloniki (20.€). Additionally, guests can take part in a lively music tavern program featuring Sirtaki (50.-€ / Fixed Menu – Limited Drinks). The return to the hotel for both programs will be from Aristotelous Square at 23:59. Overnight stay at our hotel in Thessaloniki.

Day 3 | Thessaloniki – Kavala – Xanthi – Gümülcine – Dedeağaç – Istanbul

After breakfast, we set off towards Kavala. Upon arrival in Kavala, we will have a panoramic city tour; highlights include Imaret, the Aqueduct, Kavala Castle, the Town Hall, and Kavala Bazaar, which will be seen from the bus. After one hour of free time, we will proceed to Xanthi (Iskeçe). In Iskeçe, an important settlement of the Turkish minority in Western Thrace, we will take a short panoramic walking tour through the old bazaar featuring traditional Turkish houses reminiscent of Safranbolu, followed by free time to enjoy the many cafes and taverns. Next, we will visit Komotini (Gümülcine) and Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç) while seeing them panoramically from the bus before crossing to the İpsala border gate. There will be an opportunity to shop at the Greek Freeshop during customs and passport procedures. We will arrive in Istanbul via İpsala, Keşan, and Tekirdağ, marking the end of our tour.
