Çanakkale’s Ancient Secrets Tour from Bursa

Troy Ancient City & Troy Museum – Old Lumber Wharf Dalyan Village ( PINK LAKE ) – Apollon Smintheus – Babakale

We are heading to Troy Ancient City, the first stop of our tour. We begin exploring the city, which will impress you with its 5,000-year history and mythology, accompanied by our expert regional guide. While listening to the story of the city from our guide, you will enjoy traveling through history. We stop at the city entrance to photograph the Trojan Horse, which has a place in mythology. Then, beginning with the ancient walls, our city tour continues through the east gate, the remains of the Temple of Athena, the TROIA II defense wall, the ramped gate, and the sacred area, and our Troy Ancient City visit ends at the odeon, after which we move on to the TROYA MÜZESİ, the symbol of the 2018 Year of Troy.

At Troy Museum; the life and archaeological history of Troy and the cultures that left their mark in the Troad Region, which became immortalized in history with Homer’s Iliad Epic, are narrated through the artifacts unearthed from excavations. With the guidance of our guide and museum staff, we reinforce the history you heard in the ancient city in a full sense. After the museum visit, we move to Tevfikiye Village, where the “Last Trojans” lived. In the structures, statues, and murals restored by Opet in Tevfikiye village, our guide will give you free time for photos, and then we will head to Geyikli Odunluk pier.

We provide free time at Geyikli old lumber wharf for lunch. There are many restaurant alternatives in the pier area serving fish, meat, etc. (Our tour representative and guide will assist you with lunch.) After the meal break, we meet at the designated time and head to Dalyan village.

In Dalyan village, we stop for photo taking around the Dalyan Heart-shaped lake, which is pink only for a short period. After the free time given, we head to Apollon Smintheus in Gülpınar.

We arrive at the Apollon Smintheus Sanctuary. It is located in Gülpınar Town, within the borders of Çanakkale province, formerly known as Külahlı. Geologically, the region can be described as a volcanic plateau. Located in Troyas, one of Anatolia’s most important ancient regions, the Apollon Smintheus Sanctuary is the region’s best-known and most important cult center. After visiting here, we continue to Babakale, bringing our near and distant history to life in our minds.

We present you with a certificate proving that you have set foot on the westernmost tip of Asia. Among the places to see in Babakale: Babakale Castle, Mosque, Bathhouse, Fountain, Harbor, and Lighthouse; then we move on to the Babakale knives workshop and learn about knife making. After that, we give you free time in Babakale to try calamari, octopus, and fried zucchini, flavors that will stay on your palate. After the free time, our guide meets at the designated hour and we return to Bursa, looking forward to seeing you again on the next Tatil Avcısı Turizim tour.
