Tour Program;
After picking up our guests from the departure points, we arrive in Eskişehir via Bursa and İnegöl. Our first stop is the historic Odunpazarı Houses from the Ottoman period. We stroll through the streets of Odunpazarı, famous for its bay-windowed houses reflecting Ottoman architecture, which is considered the city's first settlement area, and take photos. Then we take a shopping break at Atlıhan Handicrafts Bazaar, which was formerly used as an inn and now serves as a bazaar, to buy products made from meerschaum unique to Eskişehir. After that, we begin touring the Kurşunlu Complex, which was built in 1525 and consists of 5 sections. After seeing the Meerschaum Museum, Handicrafts Center, and Hot Glass workshop within the complex, we spend impressive moments at the “Yılmaz Büyükerşen Wax Museum,” Turkey’s first example of the “Madame Tussauds” Museum, which exists in many countries around the world. Then we see the Devrim Car, Turkey’s first and only domestically produced automobile.
We take a gondola tour on the Porsuk Stream. After the gondola tour, we head to Kent Park, which includes Eskişehir’s beach. At the end of our walk there, for lunch we taste çiğ börek and tatar soup, sorpa. After lunch, we arrive at Sazova, which is among Turkey’s best parks. During the free time given at Sazova Science, Culture and Art Park, you can visit the Fairy Tale Castle, Science Experiment Center, Sabancı Space House, Pirate Ship, and Eti Underwater World.
About Eskişehir;
Eskişehir is a province of Turkey and the twenty-fifth most populous city. It became a Metropolitan Municipality with the law enacted in 1993. According to TÜİK statistics for 2019, its population is 887,475. It is famous for met halva, Nuga halva, poppy-seed pastry, Kalabak water, çibörek, and meerschaum. In addition, balaban kebab also has an important place in Eskişehir cuisine. Akbaş, a shepherd dog bred in Eskişehir and around Sivrihisar in Turkey, is also one of the city's important values. It is a city that is developed in culture and arts with its arts institutions and facilities. There are two symphony orchestras within Anadolu University and the metropolitan municipality. In addition, with the International Eskişehir Festival held every year, exhibitions and performances are held in the city in the fields of music, theater, painting, and cinema. Eskişehir has continued its existence under different civilizations until today. Some of the civilizations established on it are Phrygia, Byzantium, the Anatolian Seljuks, and the Ottoman Empire.
