Day 1

Istanbul – Crete

Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal in front of the Aegean Airlines counter 3 hours before departure. After baggage and ticket procedures, depart for Crete at 16.00 on Aegean Airlines scheduled flight A3435. After arrival in Crete at 17.30 local time, our Crete tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. According to legend, Crete, the birthplace of Zeus, bears traces of many civilizations deep in history. On the island, whose history stretches from the Minoan civilization to the Ottoman Empire, the places to be seen include Plateia Eleftherias (Freedom Square), Agios Titus Church, Rasih Bey Mansion, Agios Minas Cathedral, Ottoman Bon Marche Building, Valide Sultan Mosque Fountain, Evkaf Building, Morosini Fountain, Ottoman Barracks, Venetian Loggia, Venetian Harbor and shipyards. After the city tour, transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Crete

After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Great Towns (Spinalonga & Elounda & Agios Nikolaos) tour. (90 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is Spinalonga. With a short boat ride from the port town of Plaka, we will reach Spinalonga, where we will explore the island’s historical structure and see traces from the old colonial period. After enjoying the unique views, our second stop is the port town of Elounda. Elounda is a seaside town known for its luxury resorts, stylish restaurants, and beautiful beaches on the island of Crete. After the break we will give here, our final stop on the tour is Agios Nikolaos. Located on the eastern coast of the island of Crete, Agios Nikolaos is one of Crete’s popular tourist destinations. Known for its beautiful beaches, historical heritage, and surrounding natural beauty, the city’s name comes from Saint Nicholas and is considered the city’s protector. After our tour, transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

Crete

After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Great Villages and Cities (Fodele Village & Rethymno & Chania) tour. (90 Euro) Fodele, the birthplace of El Greco, one of Crete’s most famous painters, is one of the popular tourist spots for visitors with its natural beauty, historical and cultural significance. The village is known for its traditional houses, narrow streets, and squares with typical Cretan architecture. After our tour, our second stop is Rethymno. Rethymno, the third largest city on the island of Crete and one of its important tourist centers, has a historically and culturally rich past. Rethymno’s historical texture dates back to the Venetian period, and it is possible to see many architectural works from the Venetian and Ottoman periods in the city. One of the city’s most famous symbols is the Venetian Rethymno Castle. The castle is located right next to the city center by the sea and, as a historical structure, is a popular spot for both history enthusiasts and photography lovers. Rethymno’s narrow, cobblestone streets, traditional houses and inns in the old town area offer a historical atmosphere. In addition, Rethymno is also famous for its beautiful beaches. Especially the coastal areas located to the south, such as Platanias, Bali and Georgioupolis, are popular destinations where tourists can enjoy the sea and sun. After our tour, our final stop is Chania. Located in the western part of Crete and one of the island’s most important port cities, Chania is famous for both its historical texture and natural beauty. Also known as Hania, Chania stands out as one of the most beautiful and most visited places in Crete. The Venetian Harbor is one of the city’s symbols and is home to many historical structures around it. These include the Venetian Lighthouse, the Venetian Archaeological Museum and the Crete Maritime Museum. It also attracts visitors with its narrow, cobblestone streets and traditional Greek houses. After the wonderful time we will spend here, transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

Crete-Istanbul

After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the extra Knossos – Archanes Village tour. (90 Euro) Knossos is an ancient archaeological site on the island of Crete and one of the most important centers of the Minoan civilization. On the tour we will do here, we will visit the Knossos Palace, built in 2000 BC and the capital of the Minoan Kingdom, and then we will see the palace, which is believed to be a legendary labyrinth and has many rooms inside. After our tour, we head to the village of Archanes, which is famous for its traditional stone houses, narrow streets and olive groves and is located close to Knossos. After our walking tour here, transfer to the airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, depart for Istanbul Airport at 15.45 on Aegean Airlines scheduled flight A3434. Arrival at 17.10 local time and end of our tour.
