ISTANBUL – BERGAMO – MILAN – (Verona Tour) – VENICE
After completing baggage drop-off, ticket, and passport control procedures at Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal 3 hours before departure, we fly to Bergamo at 09:50 on AJET Airlines scheduled flight VF61. Upon our arrival at Bergamo Airport at 11:45 local time, we head to the center of Milan with our private bus waiting for us at the airport to carry out our city tour. City tour after arrival in Milan. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, also stands out for its cuisine, opera, churches, and priceless works of art such as master Leonardo Da Vinci’s fresco of the Last Supper. Although it is Italy’s business and financial capital, Milan is also the right destination for shopping, nightlife, and dining; during our city tour we will see the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, La Galleria where many famous brands are located and where you can enjoy shopping, and Porta Romano among the places to be seen. After the Milan city tour, we move on to Venice. On the way, our guests who wish may join our extra Verona Tour program (50 Euro). Verona, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, is also home to Italy’s second largest amphitheater after the Colosseum, and also features Juliet’s House where the famous English writer Shakespeare’s famous work Romeo & Juliet, which tells the greatest love story known in the world today, takes place. We will complete our tour in Verona with a visit to Erbe Square and continue our journey to our hotel in the Venice region. Transfer to our hotel in the Venice region. VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces & Hidden Venice Walking Tour) – PISA – FLORENCE
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Pisa. On the way, our guests who wish may join our extra Venice Masterpieces and Hidden Venice Walking Tour program (80 Euro – including “Vaporetto and city entrance fees”). During our tour in Venice, we will see iconic landmarks such as St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, designed and used as a symbol of splendor and power, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the historic Campanile Bell Tower, built of stone and marble with its columns brought from Istanbul, and then enjoy a pleasant walk through the streets of Venice, connected by bridges and extending along narrow canals. After free time at the end of the tour, we continue our journey to Pisa. With our arrival in Pisa, our tour will include the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the cathedral, the baptistery, and Miracle Square among the places to visit. After a short free time where we will see and photograph the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, we transfer to our hotel in the Florence region. Check-in to rooms and free time to rest.
FLORENCE – (San Gimignano & Siena Tour) – ROME
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart to organize our panoramic city tour of Florence. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we will first see the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore from the outside, which immediately attracts attention with its orange dome and is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the most striking features of the cathedral is the bronze door called the “Gates of Paradise,” where scenes of the stories of prophets, some of which are also mentioned in the Qur’an, are represented. Later, Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the people to parliament, Signoria Square, the political and social center of Florence for centuries and home to Michelangelo’s famous Statue of David, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops, will be among the places to be seen. After the Florence city tour, we depart for Rome. On the way, our guests who wish may join our extra San Gimignano & Siena Tour program (80 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List because it has preserved its medieval architecture and appearance to the present day, and it is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” thanks to the 14 architectural marvel towers that survived from 76 towers as a result of wars and natural disasters. After our sightseeing tour in San Gimignano’s narrow streets, where time seems to have stopped and visitors feel as if they have taken a time journey back to the Middle Ages, and its squares where we can see the 14 magnificent towers panoramically, we arrive at Siena, the next stop of our tour. Siena is famous for its narrow streets from the Middle Ages, small avenues, and Campo Square, considered the largest square in Europe. After a pleasant walk in Siena’s Campo Square and the narrow, historic streets leading to it, we continue our journey to Rome. ROME – (Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour) – (Vatican and Rome Local Neighborhoods Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. Guests who wish may join our extra Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour program (85 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Nemi. Known for its wild strawberries and called the “Strawberry Village” for this feature, Nemi hosts an annual strawberry festival. After our sightseeing tour in Nemi, where its narrow streets opening onto squares and the enchanting lake and valley view combine with the scent of strawberries in the air, we take you on a historical journey through the icons of Rome, called Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world,” offering art, history, music, shopping, sun, and cuisine, with buildings in different styles stretching from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the works created by architects competing with one another attract thousands of tourists to the city in every season, Rome carries even these crowds without overwhelming people, with all its beauty and aesthetics. On our tour, in the imperial city of Rome, which shaped European civilization and bears witness to 23 centuries of history, we will first see the Colosseum, the ancient theater that has become the symbol of the city and hosted gladiator fights throughout the Roman Empire, the Roman Forum, which was the ceremonial center of the city during imperial times, the Fountain of Love, where legend says that those who throw a coin into it will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps famous for street performers, and Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo among the panoramic sights. At the end of the tour, we offer free time in Rome city center at the Pantheon. During this free time, guests who wish may join our extra Vatican and Rome Local Neighborhoods Tour program (65 Euro). Starting with a view of Castel Sant’Angelo – the Castle of Angels – and Navona Square, we visit Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic branch of Christianity and the world’s smallest country by area. We offer free time in St. Peter’s Square (Aziz Petrus Square), where thousands of Catholics come to worship and gather every year, and where on special occasions the Pope comes out from his office to greet the public, and where St. Peter’s Cathedral, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints, is located. Guests who wish may visit the cathedral section “free of charge” depending on availability. After the free time, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like residents of the city, we will experience the true Italian atmosphere in Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto and the Ghetto areas, along with the ancient Tiber Island, which is connected to the city by 2 bridges, in addition to its naturalness and simplicity, its cafes, small family restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers, and many more small and charming shops. After our walking tour through its maze-like narrow back streets with small tables set out, we complete our tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we head to Rome Fiumicino Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. After the baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control procedures completed upon our arrival at the airport, we fly to Istanbul at 11:55 on AJET Airlines flight VF74. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 15:35 local time and end of our tour.
