Day 1: ISTANBUL – IPSALA

After meeting our guests at the departure points specified in the tour program, we reach the İpsala Land Border Gate by taking the necessary breaks along the Tekirdağ – Malkara – Keşan – İpsala route. After completing our exit procedures here, we cross over the Meriç River and arrive at the Greek Kipi Land Border Gate. After our passport and customs procedures here, we enter Greece.

Day 2: IPSALA – THESSALONIKI

After entering Greece, we take a breakfast break along the way. After the break, we set off toward Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece after the capital Athens. Upon our arrival in Thessaloniki, we visit the city’s largest church, the Church of Saint Demetrios, and Atatürk’s House. Then we take our panoramic city tour. We see the waterfront, White Tower, Rotating Tower, Fairgrounds, statue of Alexander the Great, Seven Towers, the Arch of Galerius (Kamara) from the Roman period, Rotunda, Bey Hamam, and Hamza Bey Mosque panoramically. After free time, we head to our hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, we complete our check-in procedures. In the evening, guests who wish may go to the city center by bus (transfer fee €10). Accommodation at our hotel in Thessaloniki.

Day 3: THESSALONIKI - EDESSA (VODINA) – THESSALONIKI

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, free time. Guests who wish may join the full-day optional Edessa Waterfalls Tour (€25). On this tour, we first head to Giannitsa, known as Yenice-i Vardar during the Ottoman period. After seeing the Tomb of Gazi Evrenos Bey and the clock tower, we have free time. After free time, we stop at a supermarket on the way for shopping. After shopping, we continue to Edessa, also known as Vodina. We see the park and the famous waterfalls here and take a photo break. Then we give free time for lunch and photos. After free time, we return to our hotel in Thessaloniki. In the evening, guests who wish may join the extra Greek Tavern tour organized for New Year’s celebrations (Tavern Tour: €70). Guests who prefer may also use transportation to the city center and welcome the new year with celebrations in the square (transfer fee €10). After our tavern tour, return to the hotel and accommodation at our hotel in Thessaloniki.

Day 4: THESSALONIKI - KAVALA – PORTO LAGOS - ISTANBUL

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we complete our check-out procedures and leave the hotel, heading to Kavala. Upon our arrival in Kavala, we begin our panoramic city tour. As we go toward the old town, the first place we will see is the Church of Saint Nicholas. The mosque built in 1530 by Suleiman the Magnificent in honor of Ibrahim Pasha was shortened and transformed into a bell tower in 1926, then converted into a church, and Christian mosaics were added in front of it. Other historical places we will see on our tour are: Kavala Castle, the house of Mehmet Ali Pasha of Kavala, the imaret now used as a hotel, the aqueduct, and the old town inside the castle. After our panoramic Kavala city tour, we head to Porto Lagos. We will visit the church of Agios Nikolaos by walking on the bridge built over Lake Vistonida. After a photo break with the lake view, we head toward the Greek Kipi Land Border Gate. Upon arrival, we complete our passport and customs procedures and have the opportunity for duty-free shopping, then move on to the İpsala Land Border Gate. After passport and customs procedures, we head to Istanbul following the Keşan – Tekirdağ – Silivri highway. On the route, after our meal break in Tekirdağ (opportunity to taste the famous Tekirdağ meatballs), we continue to Istanbul. Upon our arrival in Istanbul, we drop our guests off at the points listed in the tour program (along the return route) and conclude our tour. We hope to meet again on our next programs...
