Sarajevo Tour with Turkish Airlines for 2 Nights FIT

Tour details

DAY 1: ISTANBUL - SARAJEVO

After completing our ticket, baggage, and boarding procedures at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport, we depart for Sarajevo with Turkish Airlines. After a flight of approximately 1.5 hours, we arrive in Sarajevo local time. After passport control, we begin our city tour with our private vehicles waiting for us. With our vehicle, we come to the front of the central library building (Vyeçnitsa), one of the city’s iconic structures, and continue our tour on foot. We see the central library, Inat Kuça, whose story will surprise you when you hear it, the Latin Bridge built during the Ottoman period, and the point where the assassination of Austro-Hungarian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife took place, which led to the outbreak of World War I. Continuing with the sebil, a tradition in the Ottoman Empire, and Sebil Square, named after this structure, our tour continues through the streets of Baščaršija, which still preserves its historical fabric. Among the other sights we will see are the Kuršunlu Medresa, the Morić and Kolobara Inns, Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque, and the Clock Tower (the only clock in the world that has a muvakkithane and shows the time according to the Islamic calendar). Then we move to Ferhadija, the city’s most popular street, and our tour continues with buildings reflecting the architecture of the Austro-Hungarian Imperial period, the Catholic Cathedral, Markale Market, and the covered market (the market where Bosnian kaymak, dried meat, sausages, and Travnik cheese are sold), ending at the “Eternal Flame” Monument, built in memory of the victims of World War II. After our tour, free time. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 2: SARAJEVO

After breakfast, full day free at leisure. We recommend that you taste Bosnian burek, ćevapi, tufahija dessert, and dibek coffee. Guests who wish may join our optional tours. Overnight at our hotel.

Optional Tour: Including Lunch, Mostar - Počitelj Tour : 60 Euro

Guests who wish may join the full-day Mostar-Počitelj optional tour organized by our guides. On this tour, we depart from our hotel by private bus and set off towards Mostar. Upon arrival in Mostar, the most important sight we will see on our panoramic city tour will be the city’s iconic structure, Mostar Bridge. Spanning the Neretva River that runs through the heart of the city, Mostar Bridge, built in 1566 by Architect Hayreddin, one of Mimar Sinan’s students, with 456 stone blocks, is under UNESCO protection and is a unique Ottoman masterpiece in the world with its architectural features, so important that it gave the city its name. The bridge was destroyed in November 1993 as a result of days of bombardment by Croatian artillery. Rebuilt by a Turkish company with the support of the Republic of Türkiye, especially the World Bank, using the original stones recovered from the river and by Turkish masters, the bridge was reopened in 2004. Walking through Mostar’s old town, through narrow cobbled streets, passing by works that preserve the authentic architecture of the period, mosques, baths, shops, and buildings adorned with slate-stone decorated roofs, we arrive at Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, another important structure we will see and also one of the best spots to take a photo of the bridge. After lunch, free time for shopping and personal exploration until the meeting time announced by our guide. At the specified time, meet up and depart for our second stop, Počitelj. Počitelj, an Ottoman village on the UNESCO World Heritage List, came under Ottoman rule in 1471 and preserved its strategic importance until 1878, when it was lost. In this village, which is one of the finest examples of Ottoman architecture, you can take very beautiful photos. After a tea and coffee break here, we head back to Sarajevo.

Optional Tour: Bosnian Night Tour : 45 Euro

In the evening, guests who wish may join the dinner-inclusive Bosnian Night tour organized as an extra by our guides. We will have an unforgettable night with dinner at one of Sarajevo’s authentic and lively restaurants, accompanied by local music and folklore. Transfer to our hotel at the end of the night.

DAY 3: SARAJEVO - ISTANBUL

After breakfast, check-out from the rooms and free time until transfer time. Guests who wish may join our optional tours. After our tour, transfer to Sarajevo Airport. Boarding procedures and flight to Istanbul with the scheduled Turkish Airlines service. End of our tour upon arrival in Istanbul. We bid you farewell, hoping to see you on your next journey.

Optional Tour: Vrelo Bosne (Source of the Bosna River) – War Tunnel Tour : 35 Euro

Guests who wish may join our Vrelo Bosne - War Tunnel tour organized as an extra by our guide. First, with the guests joining our tour, we visit Vrelo Bosne, Sarajevo’s water source. Located at the foot of Mount Igman and forming the source of the Bosna River, Vrelo Bosne is an incredibly beautiful natural park where you can find every shade of green, consisting of streams, waterfalls, and ponds; you will have the opportunity to see the scenery (tree-lined autumn street) that different birds and Microsoft Windows used for one of its famous first screen savers, as well as the setting with carriages. Continuing our tour here, we visit the war tunnel and its museum, which kept the city alive during the siege in the longest-lasting siege of recent history. Those who wish may pass through the open section of the tunnel. After our tour, transfer to our hotel.

GENERAL TERMS 1- The General Terms are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program. 2- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip; the Agency can cancel the tour up to 21 days before the departure date. In this case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the passenger. The entire tour fee will be refunded to the passenger. For additional services purchased outside the tour, tickets for domestic flights purchased from the Agency will also be refunded to the passenger; however, visa services or travel health insurance services will not be refunded if a visa application has been made in the passenger's name. If a visa application has not been made, the visa and travel health insurance will also be canceled, and a refund will be made. If the passenger has purchased domestic flight tickets from a different provider independent of the Agency, the passenger cannot request any refund from the Agency in case the tour is canceled by the Agency. The passenger accepts in advance any financial and moral losses that may arise from the cancellation of the tour and the Agency cannot be held responsible. 3- If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, the Agency has the right to show goodwill and not cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour will be provided individually for the passenger, the included guiding services in the package will only cover airport transfers for international flights. Cancellation and Change 4- In our tours, tickets for transport are arranged at the time of reservation. For cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the tour departure date, the amounts for cancelled tickets that have been paid to the airline will be charged as a penalty. 5- Passengers have the right to cancel without penalty until 30 days before the tour departure date, provided they notify the Agency in writing, except for tickets that have been paid for and/or committed to the airline. If cancellation occurs within 31 days before the start of the trip, a penalty equal to 50% of the remaining tour fee will be applied on the flight ticket price, while a cancellation made 15 days or less before the trip begins will incur a penalty equal to the entire tour fee. If a cancellation request is made, the refund conditions for additional services such as domestic flights, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary depending on the cancellation request period, so it is necessary to inquire in advance about the refunds. The Agency cannot make any commitments regarding refunds for additional services. Guiding Services and Extra Tours 6- The days and hours of the tours specified in the program can be changed by the guide according to the open/closed status of museums and archaeological sites at the destinations and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours. 7- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are organized for the general introduction of the cities and are conducted in a panoramic manner with explanations from the guide from inside the vehicle, not including museum or archaeological site entries, lasting at most 2-3 hours. The Agency is not responsible for not conducting the aforementioned tours if local authorities do not allow visits on the day and time of the scheduled tours due to closed roads, any events, or due to weather conditions making the tour impossible. Some tours may need to be conducted via public transport or on foot in areas where vehicles are not allowed. 8- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours based on the number of participants and the status of the museum and archaeological sites being closed. This also applies to any changes that may occur in flight times. 9- Important points to note for our tours conducted with speedboats include: avoiding heavy meals and excessive amounts of water immediately before boarding the boat. Passengers with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, should inform their guides of their conditions. 10- There is no refund for services included in the price if participation in the tours or meal services is not provided. Regarding Flights 11- The Agency acts as an intermediary between the passenger and the airline, and in case of any disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation, as well as the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention, will apply. 12- There may be delays or changes in flight times for scheduled and charter flights. The Agency is obliged to inform about these changes as soon as possible. The passenger has purchased the tour accepting the risk of flight time changes/cancellations. 13- Children aged 0-2 only pay the airport tax fee. 14- According to airline rules, if the outbound flight of purchased round-trip tickets is not used, the return flight will be canceled by the airline. 15- Check-in and boarding procedures for passengers participating in flight tours are personal responsibilities and must be completed by the passenger at the airports before the flight, at the relevant airline counters, or online through the airline's website. 16- Last-minute delays and gate changes during flights will be announced vocally at the airports and displayed on the information boards. This information should be followed by the passengers themselves. 17- The Agency is not responsible for passengers who are not present at the indicated airport at the specified times in accordance with airline rules, who do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who complete these procedures but do not board the plane. All expenses related to obtaining new round-trip tickets necessary for passengers who miss the flight to participate in the tour, and for transfers in the destination area, etc., are the responsibility of the passengers. 18- The general baggage allowance for flights leaving Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary according to the airline and the country to which one is traveling. If there are domestic flights in the destination country, this baggage allowance may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by airlines and are not the responsibility of the Agency. 19- For guests wishing to upgrade their plane tickets with miles (to business or first class), upgrades can be carried out depending on availability by the airline (please check the airline you are a member of) after tickets have been issued. No mileage guarantees are given for each flight. Check if the program's tickets are from upgrade-eligible classes. 20- In some airlines, food and beverage and online check-in services may be subject to an additional charge. Other Issues 21- The Agency will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellations made by the guest directly communicating with the hotel. In such cases, the cancellation conditions of the Agency shall apply. 22- If hotels are listed only by category information in the tour program without specifying names, and/or options are presented for the same destination, the Agency will inform the passenger 48 hours prior to the tour departure. 23- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, and sporting events, hotels may be used farther away from the specified locations or kilometers. In such cases, the Agency will inform the passenger 15 days before the tour departure. 24- At the time of registration for the purchased tour, the guest must accurately provide the name as it appears on the passport, date of birth, and passport number in the system. Flight tickets will be issued based on this information. Penalty fees for cancellations or changes resulting from incorrect information will be charged to passengers. 25- To use mobile phones abroad, please check with your service provider before leaving Turkey whether your phone is enabled for international use. 26- Hotel check-in time is 15:00, and check-out time is 12:00. 27- Requests regarding the room (high floor, close to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) are communicated to the hotel by the Agency. Every effort is made to ensure that the reserved rooms conform to the guest's preferences according to the hotel's availability. However, the fulfillment of these requests depends on availability at the time of check-in and cannot be guaranteed by the Agency. 28- Breakfast offered at hotels may differ from the rich breakfast traditionally found in Turkish cuisine. It is generally served as a continental breakfast consisting of limited options such as butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee and may be served in a separate area designated for the group. 29- In some cases, instead of a double bed room, a room with twin beds may be provided. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be joined together if necessary. 30- The child and extra bed policy may vary depending on the hotel and type of room. 31- Any extra bed and baby cot will be provided upon request and in accordance with the availability of the hotel, and must be approved by the hotel. 32- The capacity for an extra bed or baby cot in the room is a maximum of 1. 33- Extra bed applications are available in triple rooms, where the bed allocated to the third person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds are made up of folding beds and are referred to as coach beds. Guests accept that due to the extra beds added to the standard room in triple room and/or child reservations, there may be some crowding. 34- If the number of children and their ages to be accommodated with adults in hotel reservations are incorrectly stated by the guests, the relevant hotels may charge extra fees. In such cases, the responsibility lies with the guest who provided the incorrect declaration. Hotels may request identification to determine the ages of children. 35- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child rates apply only if the child is accommodated with two adults. Child discounts apply to the qualifying age group for “one child” staying with two adults. 36- Daily currency exchange rates are reflected in TL prices. The rates applicable at the time of payment are valid. Additional requests and some additional services you will receive at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) may be subject to extra charges. These expenses are not included at the time of purchase and should be paid directly to the hotel during your stay. 37- Some countries have different practices regarding city, tourism, or local level taxes. All such applicable city, tourism, or other taxes will be collected from the guest by the hotel at entry or exit. 38- The travel distances provided in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may vary due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the destination country, roadworks, and other circumstances. 39- The Agency may change the order of cities in the program and the main airline to be flown, without compromising the content of the program, in mandatory situations or when deemed necessary. 40- Passengers' personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/IDs are their own responsibility, and the Agency is not responsible for items that are forgotten/lost/stolen. The expenses incurred for delivering found items to the country and/or individual belong to the owner of the items. 41- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and any relevant medications and prescriptions if they have any health issues. 42- For possible extra expenses, the hotel may request a photo ID/passport issued by official authorities and a credit card or cash deposit upon check-in. The return of the requested deposit during check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and the Agency has no intervention in this matter. Visa and Passport 1- Passengers must have their passports valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel completion. 2- At customs crossings/border checkpoints, to have an entry-exit stamp on your passport, there must be at least 2 blank pages in the passport. 3- Being exempt from a visa or having obtained a visa for the countries in this tour does not guarantee entry/exit to/from the country, as the passport police have the authority to refuse entry/exit, and the Agency cannot be held responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger. 4- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or who have dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using their other passport must consult the relevant consulates regarding the visa procedures applied by the country they will be traveling to; otherwise, the Agency will not be liable for any resulting consequences. 5- To avoid issues with customs police at the border of the visited country due to torn, worn, wet, and/or similar damaged passports, passports should be renewed. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger. 6- Passengers under 18 should be aware that customs police may request documents showing the joint consent of both parents when traveling alone or with only one parent. Therefore, it is advisable for passengers under 18 and their parents to be sensitive to this issue.
