Bus Tour to Alexandroupoli 2 Days PNR001
Day 1 – Saturday
| Istanbul – Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç)
We set off at 06:00 from Kadıköy Marriage Office, at 06:30 from Mecidiyeköy Square in front of Bambi Cafe,
at 07:00 from in front of İncirli Ömür Plaza, 07:30 from in front of Beylikdüzü Marmara Park AVM, and at 08:00 from in front of Silivri Vega Center. (Please arrive at the specified locations at least 15 minutes before the departure times.) After about a 3-hour journey, we complete customs and passport formalities upon arrival and then cross into Greece, reaching Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç) center after a half-hour journey. After enjoying some free time in Dedeağaç, we head to the hotel. After checking into our rooms, there is free time. Guests who wish can participate in the extra organized Lidl Market & Jumbo Shopping Center trip for €20. At 20:00, we go back to Dedeağaç center for dinner and to explore the nightlife. The return to the hotel is scheduled for 23:00. Those who wish can stop at Thraki Casino along the way and try their luck at gambling. (Return is individually by taxi!)
Day 2 – Sunday
| Alexandroupolis – Porto Lagos – Xanthi – Komotini
We start the day with a delightful Sunday breakfast lasting until 10:30. Guests who wish can join the extra organized WEST THRACE tour for €35. Those participating in the tour will check out of their rooms after breakfast at 10:00 and we start our tour with a one-hour journey to mesmerizing Porto Lagos, which features a seaside, a lake, and forests. After viewing the Agios Nikolas church, we take a photo break and then head to Xanthi (Iskeçe). Xanthi is an important settlement area for the Western Thrace Turks and we take a short panoramic walking tour in the old market, which resembles Safranbolu’s traditional old Turkish houses. We then have free time to enjoy beautiful cafes and taverns. Afterward, we walk through the old market in Komotini (Gümülcine), where Turks also predominantly reside. After tasting the famous Gümülcine coffees, we pick up our guests who stayed at the hotel and set off toward the İpsala border gate. There is a shopping opportunity at the Yunan Freeshop during customs and passport procedures. After passing through İpsala, Keşan, and Tekirdağ, we arrive in Istanbul and conclude our tour.
