Day 1 | Istanbul – Thessaloniki
In the evening, we depart at 22:00 from the Kadıköy marriage office, at 22:30 from the square in front of Mecidiyeköy Square/Bambi Cafe, at 23:00 from in front of İncirli Ömür Plaza, at 23:30 from in front of Beylikdüzü Marmara Park Mall, and at 23:59 from in front of Silivri Vega Mall. (You must be at the specified locations at least 15 minutes before the departure times.) After approximately 3 hours of travel, upon arrival at the İpsala border gate, we complete customs and passport procedures, and then cross into Greece, heading to Thessaloniki via Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç), Komotini (Gümülcine), Xanthi (İskeçe), and Kavala.
Day 2 | Thessaloniki
Upon our morning arrival in Thessaloniki, on our panoramic city tour we visit the Church of Saint Demetrios, the largest church in Greece, and the house where Atatürk, the great leader and founder of the Republic of Turkey, was born and lived. We see the Church of Hagia Sophia, the Ottoman Bath, the Ottoman Mosque, the Bedesten, the White Tower, the Rotunda, and the International Fairgrounds. We take a walk along the seafront promenade, famous for Thessaloniki’s cafes and shops, and provide free time until 14:30. After check-in at our hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the Thessaloniki Mega Center & Jumbo Store Shopping Tour, which will be organized at 15:30 and includes many famous brands. (20.€) Guests who wish may also join the Panoramic Thessaloniki Masterpieces Night Tour, organized at 20:00, and see the places visited during the day under the evening lights and take part in Thessaloniki’s lively nightlife in the city center. (20.€) Guests who wish may also join the lively music Tavern & Sirtaki program. (70.-€ / Fixed Menu – Limited Drinks) For both programs, the return to the hotel is at 23:30 from Aristoteles Square. Overnight at our hotel in Thessaloniki.
Day 3 | Thessaloniki – Kavala – Xanthi – Komotini – Dedeağaç – Istanbul
After breakfast, we depart for Kavala. Arrival in Kavala. On the Kavala panoramic city tour; the Imaret, Aqueducts, Kavala Castle, City Hall, Kavala bazaar, and the promenade are among the places that will be seen panoramically from the bus. After 1 hour of free time, we depart for Xanthi (İskeçe). In Xanthi, an important settlement where Western Thrace Turks live, after a short panoramic walking tour through the old bazaar made up of traditional old Turkish houses reminiscent of Safranbolu, we provide 1.5 hours of free time to enjoy the beautiful cafes and taverns. Afterwards, we again see the cities of Komotini (Gümülcine) and Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç), where Turks live densely, panoramically from the bus, and proceed to the İpsala border gate. Shopping opportunity at the Greek Freeshop during customs and passport procedures. Arrival in Istanbul via İpsala, Keşan, and Tekirdağ, and the end of our tour. We hope to see you on our next tour…
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1- The General Terms and Conditions are an integral part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently of the tour program.
2- In the event that sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip; Wtatil can cancel the tour up to 21 days before the travel date. In this case, cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The total amount of the tour will be refunded to the guest. For additional services purchased outside of the tour; domestic flight connections purchased from Wtatil will also be refunded to the guest, visa services, travel health insurance, and if a visa application has been made on behalf of the guest using travel health insurance, these services cannot be refunded as they have been utilized. If the guest has purchased domestic flight connections from a different product provider independent of Wtatil, in the event that the trip is canceled by Wtatil, the guest cannot request any refund from Wtatil. The guest accepts in advance to bear any material and moral losses arising from the cancellation of the tour at the time of purchasing the tour, Wtatil cannot be held responsible.
3- In the event that sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, Wtatil has the right to show good faith and not cancel the tour. In this case, since the tour is provided individually for the guest, the package includes guiding services only for the international round-trip airport transfers.
Cancellation and Changes
4- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty, provided they notify Wtatil in writing at least 30 days prior to the tour departure date, except for airline tickets that Wtatil has paid to the airline and/or those that have been committed. If the tour start date is less than 31 days away, the guest can cancel by paying a penalty equal to 50% of the remaining tour fee from the airfare. If the cancellation request is within 15 days or less of the tour start date, the guest may cancel by paying the full penalty amount of the tour fee. In case of a cancellation request, the refund terms of additional services such as domestic flight connections, visa services, and travel health insurance may vary according to the period of the cancellation request, so it is necessary to inquire in advance about the refund. Wtatil cannot make any commitment regarding the cancellation refund of additional services.
Guiding Services and Extra Tours
5- The days and times of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide according to the situation of museums, historical sites being open/closed, and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.
6- Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are organized for the general introduction of cities and are panoramic tours made from within the vehicle with a maximum duration of 2-3 hours, which do not include entrance to museums or historical sites. Panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, will not be held if local authorities do not allow them to be visited or if they are closed due to any event or if the tour is made impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be conducted by public transport or on foot where there are closed roads or where vehicle access is not permitted, within available means.
7- Our guide may change the days of city tours and/or additional tours depending on the content of our tours, the number of participants, and the situation of the museum or historical site being closed. This applies to changes that may occur in flight schedules as well.
8- Attention should be paid to the following matters for tours to be conducted with Speed Boats: heavy meals should not be consumed immediately before boarding the boat, and excessive amounts of water should not be drunk. Guests with stomach, back, or neck complaints, as well as pregnant guests, should inform their guides about their conditions.
9- If service participation for meals or tours included in the prices is not provided, there is no refund.
About Flights
10- Wtatil acts as an intermediary between the passenger and the airline, and in the event of disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation, along with the Hague Protocol and the Warsaw Convention, will apply.
11- Delays or changes in flight times may occur on scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obligated to notify these changes as soon as possible. Passengers accept the risk of changes/cancellations in flight times by purchasing the tour.
12- Children aged 0-2 only pay the airport tax fee.
13- According to the airline rules; if the departure flight of a round-trip ticket is not used, the return flight will be canceled by the airline.
14- Check-in and boarding procedures for those participating in air tours are personal responsibilities and these procedures must be completed by the guests at the airports before departure, at the relevant airline counters, or online on the airline's websites.
15- Last-minute delays and gate changes during flights are announced verbally at airports and shown on the information boards in the area. This information should be followed directly by guests.
16- Wtatil is not responsible for guests who are not present at the specified airport at the designated time according to the airline rules for participating in the tour, do not complete check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who do complete these procedures on time but do not board the flight. Guests who miss the flight are responsible for all expenses related to obtaining new round-trip tickets necessary for them to participate in the tour and related transfers in the destination area, etc.
17- The general luggage weight for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary depending on the airline and the country to which you are traveling. If there are domestic flights in the country to be visited, the luggage weight may be reduced to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of Wtatil.
18- For guests who wish to upgrade their tickets to business or first class with their miles; upgrade processes can be conducted depending on the availability of the airline (please check with the airline you have membership with) after the tickets are issued. No guarantee is given for milage for each flight. Please check whether the program's tickets are from an upgradeable class.
19- Some airlines may charge extra fees for meal and online check-in services.
Other Matters
20- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellations made by the guest directly communicating with the hotel. In this case, the cancellation conditions of Wtatil will be valid.
21- In cases where the hotel(s) are indicated only by category information without names in the tour program, and/or offered with options for the same destination, Wtatil will inform the guest 48 hours before the tour departure.
22- During special periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be located at further distances than the specified locations or kilometers. In such cases, Wtatil will provide information 15 days before the tour departure.
23- At the time of booking the purchased tour; the name, date of birth, and passport number as stated on the passport must be entered/declared correctly into the system by the guest. Flight tickets are issued according to this information. Any penalty for the cancellation or changes of flight tickets due to incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
24- To use your mobile phone abroad, please check with the company to which your line belongs before leaving Turkey to see if your phone is open for international roaming.
25- The hotel check-in time is 15.00, and the check-out time is 12.00.
26- Requests related to the room (high floor, close to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) are communicated to the hotel by Wtatil. Every effort is made to ensure that the reserved rooms are in line with the guest's preferences according to the availability of the hotel. The fulfillment of these requests is dependent on the availability at check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.
27- Breakfasts offered at hotels may differ from the rich Turkish breakfast traditionally known. They are usually served with limited options consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate room allocated for the group.
28- In some cases, a double bed may be available instead of a twin bed room. Most European hotels offer rooms with two beds that can be combined when necessary.
29- The child and extra bed policy may vary according to each hotel and room type.
30- All kinds of extra beds and baby cribs are provided upon request and according to the hotel's availability, and must be approved by the hotel.
31- The capacity for extra beds or baby cribs in the room is 1 unit (maximum).
32- In triple rooms, there is an extra bed application; the bed allocated for the 3rd person in these types of rooms is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds consist of fold-up beds or coach beds. Our guests accept to declare that they agree to the crowd and bed type that may occur due to the extra beds to be added to the standard room in reservations for triple rooms and/or with children.
33- If the number of children and their ages staying with adults in hotel reservations are incorrectly declared by our guests, the relevant hotels may charge an additional fee. In such a case, the responsibility lies with the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may request identification for age verification for the children.
34- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child prices are only valid when the child stays with two adults. Child discounts apply only to the “single child” within the age group staying with the two adults.
35- Daily exchange rate fluctuations are reflected in TL prices. The rates at the time of payment are valid. Additional requests and certain extra services you will receive at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) are subject to extra charges by the hotel. These costs are not included in the price at the time of purchase and are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
36- Some countries have different applications regarding city, tourism, or local level taxes. All kinds of city, tourism, or other taxes imposed in this way will be collected from the guest by the hotel at the time of entry or exit.
37- The travel distances given in programs are based on maps. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, the geographical location of the visited country, road works, and similar situations.
38- Wtatil may change the order of cities in the program and the main airline to be flown without changing the content of the program for compulsory situations or when deemed necessary.
39- Personal belongings, bags, suitcases, passports/identification documents, etc. of the participants in the tour are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. In case of found forgotten items, the expenses incurred during the delivery to the country and/or person belong to the owner of the item.
40- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and any medications and reports related to any health problems with them.
41- For possible extra expenses, the hotel may request a photo ID/passport and a credit card or cash deposit issued by official institutions at check-in. The refund of the deposit requested at check-out is a transaction between the hotel and the guest, and Wtatil has no intervention in this.
Visa and Passport
42- There is no visa requirement for Turkish citizens.
43- Guests must have passports that are valid for at least 6 months after the end of the travel date.
44- In order to have an entry-exit stamp placed in your passport at customs crossings/border gates, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages.
45- Being exempt from a visa to enter the countries on this tour does not mean that entry/exit to/from the country will be allowed, and the passport police has the authority to deny you entry into the country, and Wtatil is not responsible for this situation; the responsibility lies with the passenger.
46- Non-Turkish citizens or those holding dual citizenship who will participate in the tour using their other country's passport must personally inquire about the visa procedures applied by the country they will be traveling to at the respective consulates; otherwise, Wtatil will not be responsible for any consequences that arise.
47- To avoid problems with customs officers at the border gate of the country to be visited due to torn, damaged, wet, and/or similar damaged passports; it is necessary to renew the passports. In this case, the responsibility lies with the passenger.
48- Guests under the age of 18 traveling alone or only with one parent should be advised to be prepared to show a document demonstrating the joint consent of both parents, as they may be asked for this by the police at the entrance/exits of the country; guests under 18 and their parents are advised to be cautious about this matter.
