I still remember that cool autumn evening when the faint scent of the sea drifted into the bus through the open window. I went with a close friend, and especially the plain Turkish coffee we had in a seaside café in Marmaris was one of the small but most enjoyable moments of the trip; I can still picture even the thin layer of coffee grounds stuck to the edge of the cup. The buses were comfortable, and although a blanket wasn’t necessary on the night rides, a light cardigan was a good idea. At a few stops, there were moments when we got off the bus and waited unnecessarily, especially a brief organizational mix-up before the Kekova boat tour, but it didn’t really disrupt the overall flow. In the evenings, the meals provided at the hotel as part of the half-board arrangement met my expectations in terms of taste; especially the warmth of the soup felt good after a whole day of sightseeing. Since lunch wasn’t included, you need to make quick decisions at the stops, so bringing a few small snacks with you could be sensible. For anyone wanting to see the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts in autumn, it was a well-balanced program—fast-paced but not tiring.

After the open buffet breakfast taken at the hotel in the morning, we depart from the hotel and go to Üçağız Village via Kemer and Finike, and set off on our Kekova Boat Tour (1st Boat Tour is included in the price). On our boat tour, we will have the opportunity to see and photograph from a distance the Simena Castle, which houses the smallest theater in Anatolia, and the sarcophagi in the sea. In addition, Kekova Island, the Sunken City, Hamidiye Bay, and Tersane Bay will be the main places we will see on this tour. 5 ReviewsI’d like to leave a small note for those considering this tour, especially for people who love light. In Ölüdeniz at sunset, the orange light hitting the sea in the evening really offers great opportunities for photography; I even caught a reflection on a water bottle. In Marmaris and Bodrum, we also stopped frequently on the seaside walks to take photos. The bus rides felt a bit long and crowded in the summer heat, but the air conditioning held up, and the guide helped by telling us at each stop where we could capture the best shot. Overall, the hotel stays were clean, and the half-board dinners were sufficient; just keep in mind when planning your budget that the first day’s breakfast on the road is an extra expense.
Compared to expectations, it was a very satisfying trip. As a family, especially for the children, the beach breaks in Marmaris and Fethiye were very enjoyable; despite it being September, the weather was neither too hot nor cold, and a light jacket was enough. The bus was comfortable, and the guide calmly explained the route and the half-board arrangement at the hotels. The water service and the scenery on the Kekova boat trip were pleasant. Only on some days did we wait unnecessarily for 20–25 minutes when leaving the hotel, which was a bit tiring with the children. Overall, we returned feeling rested and pleased with what we saw.
Drinking hot soup at the hotel dinner with the salty breeze from the Mediterranean coming in felt especially good after sunset in Marmaris. Even though the bus was crowded in places, we didn’t mind much while watching the views of Fethiye and Ölüdeniz with our group of friends.
The cold water handed out on the bus was a lifesaver in the July heat. The simple but fresh fish we ate in Bodrum on the way back from Ölüdeniz still lingers in my mind. Only the hotel dinner in the evening was a bit ordinary.
